Eula Strickland Jones, 90, died October 5, 2007 at her home.
She was a kind, gentle, warm-hearted person, a devoted gardener who loved her roses, camellias, and azaleas. She was a charter member of the Canasta card playing group, where she was a member since 1971.
She was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” C. Jones, and son Daniel C. Jones.
She is survived by her daughter: Joan J. Stanford and her husband Edward M. Stanford, Sr., their son: Edward M. Stanford, Jr. Cynthia; Son: Robert L. Jones and his wife Iris P. Jones, their sons: Robert L. Jones, Jr. Katherine, David R. Jones Susan; Son: Dennis Jones and his wife Annette Jones, their children: Jason D. Jones, Laura Jones and Amy Jones Cornish. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Mason Stanford, Jackson Jones, Darcy Cooper and Drew Cooper.
Visitation will be Sunday, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., October 7, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Dr. Charles Cooper will be officiating.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.

So many pleasant memories we have of Bill and Eula over so many years especially recent years at the 'Cousins Days.' We enjoyed our last visit with her in Claxton back in June of last year. She was a princess. May you feel strongly the strength of God as he sustains you in this time of grief.
